Any advise? I'm having a re-interview(according to the letter) next week. Please advise me on what to expect. Has anyone here experienced 2nd interview?

Re-interview is USCIS' way of making sure you case and status is up to date. Hopefully this time around thy will give you a decision on your case.

I don't have a 2nd Interview (Yet ... Knock on Wood) ... will it be the same. Like the civics question or will it be just going over your file one more ?

I believe the re-interview is only for those stuck in name check whose initial interview was more than 1 year ago. If you already passed civics questions and Englist test first time, I don't see why USCIS would ask you them again. I think it's more of a formality to make sure your case and status is up to date (ie you haven't committed any crimes since first interview).

95% chance your second interview will be the same as first one, just to update the information on file. 5% - CIS might screw up again, asking for a legal push.

No need for a lawyer

I don't believe my case is complicated i've just been waiting for 3yrs

I agree with Cybex. I went for my interview, keeping in mind I had filed WOM and this was my 3rd interview call. Everybody suggested me to take one but I thought I really don't need one & I was right. Everything went smooth. I passed the test & I was granted citizenship that very same day.

What questions were you asked and how long does your interview takes considering that you had 3 IL

Quick question!!

How complicated is your case in the eyes of IO? If it's simple, there is no need for a lawyer.

I applied for citizenship in april 2007. Since then I have had three finger printings, and 1interview back in jan 2009 (I was told they had to review my case before making a decision). After a long wait and lot of pushing from the Senator, I finally got my reinterview letter for beginning of next month. What should I expect? They didnt ask my husband (my sponsor) to come in with me for the interview. I dont have any criminal records or anything as such. We met in college, fell in love, got married and have two beautiful children together. There really is nothing that should be preventing then from giving me citizenship. Do they retest civics/english on a second interview? Should I bring my husband with me anyway..even if they havent asked him to come in?..Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
