Hello,

1.My father's Visa got rejected in Feb 2010. Reason being, insufficient ties. He did not mention his property under work information column. He wrote Retired from business and gave the name and address of his business which has been wrapped up 10 years ago.

At the interview, the Visa officer asked my dad only about his business, and came to the conclusion of his insufficient ties in India and rejected the Visa. How can we mention about my dad's property in the application the 2nd time? Can we write- rental property owner in this column, and not mention the word' Retired'. Since, in any case, his business has been wrapped up 10 years ago and my father's source of income is his house which he rents out. So we won't be lying but just showcasing the truth which was missing the previous time.

Please advise.

Thanks

D

Even if he does make money from renting property, I do not think it allows you to not mention the fact that he has retired from active service.

so you suggest, we write "retired from business but now write rental property owner"...will this suffice?

Thanks
