Quick question regarding the interview

Hi all

I was just wondering about this. I believe once you have your citizenship interview and you are approved - they ask for your greencard correct?

However what if you get a delayed decision via mail, I assume that you would not hand over your green card at the interview as thats proof of your legal residency.

You only hand in your GC at the oath when you become a citizen of USA. Unlike GC where you become a PR as long as it is approved even without your knwoing, for citizneship apporval date does not mean anything legally substantiative until you take oath.

Apporval itself has no legal power in the citizenship process but rather an internal thing for USCIS
