Quick question: GC holder getting married

I am looking for an answer for my friend.

He is a GC holder for about 6 month now, he just met his "future wife" :)
anyway the questions are:
1) How long is it for a GC holder to sponsor a spouse to get a GC?
2) If the wife is coming here on F1, and then get married here in the US, will she have any issue with the immigration (single intent for F1)?
3) What are his options, for his wife to stay here in the US legally after marriage?

thanks

6 years

if they get married after 90 days from her arrival - no, if she is not planning to leave the US until she gets a GC and doesn't plan to change her status to another non-immigrant status.

none that depend on him or their marriage until he becomes a citizen.

Thanks LucyMO,

So let's say she is coming here with F1 visa, then they get married 1 year afterward here in the US, Will she be in trouble getting her F1 visa at the consulate if she goes back home during semester break vacation? again, this is related to single intent issue with F1.
I heard if you marry a GC holder, you may have issue with getting F1 visa because marrying a GC holder is an automatic "intention to immigrate".

thank you for your help
