Questions about CR1 interview and US entry

My wife is going to attend her CR1 interview in Mumbai, India in a few days and we have couple questions.
1. Should my wife necessarily have to retain her job during the interview and even at the port of entry when she enters the US?
2. Can my wife board the flight to the US from any place within India other than Mumbai where she was issued the visa

I would really appreciate your answers to these questions.

1) If she wants to keep her job until the interview or after the interview because she wants to make more money, she can do that, but the consulate will not require her to keep the job at any time.

2) She can board a flight to the US from anywhere in India or anywhere else the world (assuming she can get into the third country in the first place).
