I had a question for all the guru's of this forum.

Filing 485 after a week of filing I-140 , does that have any disadvantages.

I have heard that when a person files for I140-485 on the same day has better chances for approval and it is faster ( even if it is by a day off , they ( BCIS ) view the case seperately ) Is this true ? Though the employer and attorney disagree.

Kindly let me know , as i am told that my I-140 is filed last week and 485 will be filed this week.

Any suggestion , kindly reply.

Thanks in advance

When you file I-140 and I-485 concurrently you just get earlier PD for I-485. if you file I-485 after filing I-140 then you delay the filing I-485 or PD of I-485 because then you have to wait for I-140 filing receipt . Once you get I-140 receipt then you attach it with I-485 filing. You loose the time for I-485 PD about 2 months because first lawyer will receive the I-140 receipt then again you have to submit your I-485 documents to him again he has to send it to BCIS.
I-140 approval has nothing to do with I-485 and it does not give any advantage that if you file I-140 first it will be approved early.
File I-140, I-485 concurrently if you don’t have other issues
