I have a question.

Say you apply for a green card through marriage, go through the adjustment of status interview, and then are told that your application is pending and you will have to go through a 2nd interview process. At this point, if you want to withdraw your application, will this raise suspicious of marriage fraud and lead to any consequences or will the case just be dropped and the interview canceled?

I am sure you can always withdraw an application before a decision has been made.But you would have to mention it the next time "say" you apply for I 485 with some other person sponsoring you or applying greencard/I 485 through any other process unless ofcourse you can stay illegal forever.

Is this even if an investigation for fraud has already begun? I am so worried... my friend who is applying for the visa doesn't live with his wife and they don't hold joint property..I really don't think he will pass this investigation and I can't have him deported!

Is the marriage genuine? If so, there is nothing to worry about.
