as some of you may know, my wife got her green card thru marriage to an u.s. citizen. but her GC's A number is the same number on her I94 card which she carried when she first enter this country. she came here as a derivative of her mom(political asylum). maybe i'm over worried but will the A number on my wife's GC raise some IOs' attention when she return back to u.s. after the two week trip to her COP? the category on her GC is CR6 btw.

The alien number does not change. And a part of your immigration history (like an application for asylum) does not get expunged by later developments.

so even tho her GC's category is CR6 which is thru marriage to an us citizen, will her alien number cost her some trouble at the port of entry or later on when she interviewing for citizenship.

Nobody can tell you the answer to this. It depends on the contents of the asylum application filed by her parents. That she was only a derivative is a significantly positive factor.
