Question regarding my L1- H1(Plz plz some one answer quickly) !

Hi,

I got my H1 stamping from a company A on 2005 Jan up to 2008 Jan but I did not went to US on my H1 B.I worked in Switzerland on work permit for last 16months from a Indian based company B.My current employer company B filed by L1 B visa and got my L1 B stamped up to Nov 2009 and My H1b Cancelled with out prejudgment as I received my new L1 visa.

Unfortunately my company B US project got cancelled so I don’t use my L1 Visa any more.

As Still My H1 B Company A is happy to work with me.

Now I would like to go back and cancel my L1 Visa and wants to retain back my old H1 B visa (valid up to Jan2008), so that I can travel back to US on my H1B.

Please suggest me can I go to the US consulate now to cancel my present L1 visa and take back my old H1B visa stamped again (valid up to Jan2008) and fly to US on my H1B?

If I received my old H1B back stamped is there is any problem in the port of entry after landing in US?

Help would be appreciated.

Just go to the US consulate to get H1 stamp. Whether L1 visa gets cancelled or not is up to the consulate(probably will be cancelled)

Thanks a lot for the reply .
As you mentioned let us assume i went and get my old H1 Back valid up to Jan2008 i.e i have only 10 months valid time to work on H1B.

Is there any problem in the renewal of the H1B again in near furture ?
Is there is any problem in the port of entry after landing in US?

Technically there shouldnt be any problem but renewal/port of entry problems are individual basis and you cant get a definitive answer atleast in the forum.
