Question abt Voluntary AC-21 with I140-OR approval

My I-140OR was approved Sep 03. Filed I-485 last week, waiting for RD.

Currently "Research Assoc" at University. There is a chance (fingers crossed) I'd get a faculty ("Asst. Prof.") position at a small local undergrad college with Aug '05 joining date. Any complications that anyone can envision here?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

what about the job description?? not that i donot know diff between Reasearch associate and Assit Prof but the job description is what is important..

Hmmm ...

Thanks for your reply, hmd.

In brief - Res. Assoc. = 90% research; 10% teaching
Asst Prof (in this case) = 80% teaching; 20% research (same field of research)

well what you described is the job duties . But what is imp is job description in your LC and job description in new EVL.

No LC ...

I-140 was approved under EB1-OR. This case is getting curioser and curioser, and I don't even have the new job-at-hand yet :)

Thanks, hmd, for your responses.

If you filed as an "outstanding researcher" and research is only a minor portion of your job duties, then USCIS could logically argue that the new job is not "similar". The question is if USCIS will discover this.
