question about KCC processing time

Hi guys
KCC received my file on June 30th and my case number is EU 00002xxx
Obviously i wont make it for an October interview but someone said it takes between 6 to 8 weeks to process.Someone else said 8 to 12 weeks.
do you think it should be processed by September 15th?

EU0002xxx is a low number or you must have fogotten one "x"...If the number you put on this website is correct you should have an interview as one of the earliest.

Has anyone receive 2 NL yet. My brother holds a german citizenship and lives in United Kingdom, he has also been a frequent visitor to the US, now my question is can he stand as a sponsor to me since his account proves he has sufficient funds to fulfill this claims, anyone with an idea about this.

One more question my case number is 2010AF00018378, when could my interview be since I just post my NL letter back and KCC confirm the receipt on 12 august, reason is the post office in my country Nigeria is a rerk so mine was sent by KCC via email on 5 august. What is the time frame for KCC to process one information and probably send the second NL, anyone with some answers.

It's a pity that your brother is not a US citizen. The law states that your would be sponsor must be a US citizen. Good luck

Please make sure you scrutinise the source of this e_mail you claimed to have received from the KCC. KCC has made it categorically clear that it does not send winning letters through e_mail to dv winners. I would kindly entreat you to check the background of the source v ery well. You can use your confirmation number to check your winning status.

They have told my friend different things...at first she was told processing will take 2-4 weeks. Than when she called back after a couple of weeks she was told it would take at least 8-10 weeks and that was already after weeks of sending it in.
A week after she was told 8-10 weeks she called back and was told her case was processed and she needed to look out for the visa bulletin or call back on the 15th. Her number is not yet current but probably will be in Nov.
Tomorrow she will do the medical since College will start and she will have limited time and this way she might have taken care of it right now.

She needs to take all vacination papers, soc. sec. card, and paper work with her...if you don't have a soc. sec. # it wasn't an issue, but she has

Thanks for your instant reply. Can visa bulletin release a current visa without the applicant form being processed, I asked this because I just received my NL letter 2weks back due to the nature of post office in Nigeria. I wrote KCC by 1 august as required by them, then they resend mine 3 days later. I send them back on 10 aug and DHL confirm delivery 12 aug, since my case number is kind of low (2010AF00017211) can my visa number still be current at the due time even that I submitted late.

How long does it take KCC to process one information after receiving the 2 NL.

Anyone with some ideas?

sorry the 1st NL i meant, and yes KCC dont send letters initially via email but if u didnt get urs and write them after 1 august, they send it via email after you must have provide your date of birth, full names and confirmation number.
That was how I get mine via email.

The sponsor DOES NOT have to be a citizen....a green card holder can sponsor you too, they just have to show 2-3 yrs of tax returns and be above poverty line income level after factoring you (plus your dependents) into their household size.

I believe KCC uses a "rule of thumb" of 8-10 weeks. If it helps, my scenario involved sending my 2nd NL via email on first week of may and I got a response by end of June...which makes it 8 weeks.

FYI, my address was in US so mail delivery is more consistent than for a letter sent overseas.
