Question about Job Change

I have h1b valid till end of this year. My i485 is well beyond the 180-day limit from date of receipt. Can I change my job based on the existing h1b (by a h1 transfer) or will i need to obtain an EAD? Will the h1 transfer affect the green card processing for me and my family? What are the options?
 
If you are going to join the company

that is going to offer your GC job, you can either use EAD or H1 transfer. You will get an employment RFE or your case will be transferred to the local INS. Make sure that you get the GC employment offer letter from the new employer before agreeing to the H1 transfer. Also, apply for EAD anyway (as a backup, if employer 2 also fires you)
