Question about i-485 and i-94?

My husband came on b1/b2 visa all he has is his passport with the stamp of his last arrival here. We are filing i-485 and it asks for i-94#. What do I put? Please I want to do this right.

Three options come to mind.

1.) file form I-102 wirh USCIS for a replacement I-94,
2.) file a FOIA request with CBP for entry information and verification,
3.) include a copy of every page of the passport with the I-485 and a written explanation about losing the I-94 and USCIS can look it up based on his other information, PP #, name, DOB, and country, also include best recollection of date and place of entry and type of visa.
