Question about I-140 revoking

My I-140 was approved in Dec 1999. I filed for 485 in 08/03. Only when I was applying for my 485 did I get my I-140 receipt number. So far I had not checked the Case Status online for my i-140. Today I checked and I saw there was a LUD in 5/2001(but message says my I-140 was approved in Dec 1999). I am wondering what that could be ?
For those of you who's I-140 was revoked (after 6 months or so), do you see any appropriate message ? How can I find out if my I-140 is not revoked etc ?
What are the implications if the I140 is revoked (after 6 months) on 485?

I am a little bit worried (like all of us here are).
Can you guys through some light on this ?

140 would not get revoked by itself. It is not that USCIS doesn't like you so they will decide you are not fit for this country. It can only be revoked if your employer has filed for withdrawing your application or if they discovered that you provide fradulent information on your application. So to find out if that is the case, talk to your employer and ask him if he ever sent such a request. If he did not, you should be good.

Also, I beleive your 485 is pending on this 140. If that is the case and your 140 was revoked in 2001, USCIS would not have accepted your 485 application. If you think your 140 was revoked after you filed 485, then they will send you a NOID - NOTICE OF INTENT TO DENY - on your pending 485. i believe you have not got such a notice, so you should be OK.

Thanks for that reply. It is comforting to know that my 485 app could not have been accepted if I-140 was revoked.
I was not with the company during the period when my I-140 was approved (from just before when it was approved) until just before they applied for my 485 (4 yrs).
Also does the company benefit in any way by I-140 revoke ? (monetary or being able to reuse the Labor etc)
Yes I have not received any NOID.

Yes, the company can substitute another person on that approved LC. As that LC has a PD of at-least 1999 (may be earlier), it will be used (read "sell") like hot cake. But as Dazzling has explained, you are fine.

unitednations - thanks for your scary note. I only hope I don't go through that. I will enquire with my old company if they ever requested to revoke my I-140. But some how I am scared of asking that and what the reply is going to be. Any advice ?

Your 140 is not revoked.

As for the gap - it does not matter unless you were out of status.
