Question about I-130 wife petition for LPR

Hi All,
Here is our story;
I had my green card before we got married so my wife has no green card. She has tourist visa and comes and goes occasionally and stay here less than her I-94 dates. I have been filing my taxes with her since we have house (her name is on deed) for years and she has her SSN (got it while she was student visa about 8 years ago) but no income.
We filed for I-130 about 3 years ago and yesterday got a notice from USCIS about the interview. For interview you have 2 ways to pick;
1) If your spouse is in US bring this and that.
2) If your spouse is overseas bring this and that.
We have most of the documents they ask for number 1 but she is out of country and probably can not make for the interview date (2,5 weeks from now). Option 2 sounds like spouse is overseas, you have limited connection which is not correct in our case since they just leave the country April 1st 09.
I kind of confused which approach we should take. Do you guys have any idea, advise or etc?
