Question about Degree?

One of my friend want to find out if he will have any problem getting TN visa,
his profile is as follows:

Post graduate diploma from University of Toronto in Internet Dev with Java and Oracle.

Two years degree in Commerce from back home. It says Bachelor of Commerce.
One year certificate course in computers from back home.

Is this qualification enough for TN, if yes then what should be his best category for visa? He got job offer letter for computer programmer.

Any help guys.....
 
Only if he can get equivalent from UofT that his educational credential equals to 4 yr under grad of UofT. There is no harm in trying it.

I think there is no TN category as a "Computer Programmer". You might need a re-written offer letter.
 
All border officers will automatically reject any TN letter with the word 'programmer' in it.
