question about checks

our lawyer sent in the papers on 2/15 and the checks have not been cashed as yet...is that normal?
how long does it usually take for the DHS to cash those checks and what happens next? do we get an email or letter in the mail? or does my lawyer get all correspondence?

thanks for any input on this.
 
yea they have seemed to slow down there a bit, my cheques have not cleared as well, they received my package on 02/13.
 
klik4it, give it at least 2 weeks, maybe 4. Next you'll receive some receipt notices in the mail and then a notice to appear for fingerprinting (I think your lawyer gets most of the correspondence and you get copies of some notices as well).
