Queries before travelling to USA(1st time) on H1B stamp.

Hello,

One of my friend got H1B stamp(1st time) in passport in India.

Now he wants to come to USA. but before that He has to complete some formalities.

Regarding that I have following questions.

1. Does he need to visit Passport office and get stamp DELETED kind of in passport? So, he can travel to USA and while starting flying from India's airport, he will not be stopped.

2. Does he has to collect TAX PAID(Tax Clearance) kind of certificate from Charted Accountant OR Income Tax Department in India before starting flying??

----DELETED? what to be DELETED from passport???? It seems you are asking for ECNR stamp FYI one can fly to USA even if he has " immigration clearence required" he seems to be degree holder and all degree holder have ECNR stamp on passport

Well, He has Bachelor of Science Degree and Microsoft certifications and IT related expereince letters.. Yes. you are right, I was talking about
ECNR only. I will confirm with him, whether he has ECNR on his passport or not.

Tax related. I remember, when I left Ahmedabad for 1st time on H1, at the airport they asked for it(5+ years back). Even 2+ years back, when I was leaving(after CP done) Ahmedabad airport. They were asking of Tax Clearance thing. But I told airport personnel that, I have not earned money in India, after I left India 1st time. Then they allowed me to go. So, I was curious, when person is leaving country first time, they asks. If Rule has changed, no idea.

Depends on the whims of he person. But then there's always Bapus, Hamiltons and Grants to take care of it ...
