Q on HDFC bank req for payment of fees

hello,

my parents doesnot stay near the locations specified to pay the fees at HDFC bank. They stay in diff state and its very far.

1. can anyone of my relative close to the HDFC location pay the fees and get the receipt. Do they ask for Passport.
2. After the fees are paid , for how long is the validity of the recipt to make a appointment.
3. Did anyone of you recently get a month or two waiting in mumbai.

------------ I think your relative can pay the fees and passport first page copy is needed as per VFS
2. After the fees are paid , for how long is the validity of the recipt to make a appointment.
------------- go to US consulate Mumbai site and then go to VFS page and find info and they have phone # call them
3. Did anyone of you recently get a month or two waiting in mumbai.

the receipt validity is one year from the payment date or your scheduled interview date whichever is earlier.
