Public or confidential marriage license? Need help.............

Hi, everyone:
Me and my USC boyfriend are getting married and we live in Northern California.
He is going to petition me for the GC after we get married, and we are not sure what kind of license we should obtain?
And the civil ceremony must be taken in 90 days after the license? We want to plan the wedding ceremony in details and not sure when to apply for the license.
Can anyone please help? Thank you.
 
either ones fine. unless you are a celebrity, most people opt to go with public license.

And also i want to know after we apply for the license, the ceremony must be held within 90 days of the license date? Anywhere in California?

Attempting to conceal a marriage is a HUGE RED FLAG for immigration authorities unless, as someone mentioned, you are a celebrity or public figure of some sort.
