Hi Friends - My MIL is a widow but most of the property she owns (house, farm land etc) are still registered under my Father in Law. Will taking these along with a Death certificate suffice or should we try to re-register to her?
She only has 2 daughters and the younger one is my spouse. Her other daughter resides in India with her family.
Thank you.

Yes. She did. She just took the documents as-is along with the death certificate. Her interview was very smooth without any complications. She just got here on Monday and they granted 6month stay at SFO. Please let me know if you need more details.

Thanks for being kind and reply. What all documents did she carry with her? Do you remember what questions they asked her?

I am just giving you a dump from a document I created. There will be duplication. Please review carefully.

Questions for MIL - http://www.immihelp.com/visas/visitor/interview.html

As far as questions they asked her: She had gotten her passport in 2000 so they were curious why she didn't travel this long (8yrs). She told her that she was busy with taking care of stuff (ailing mother, rental properties etc) and she is a bit free now. They asked her what I was doing in US. When the reply was IT Manager they asked what IT stood for and she (surprisingly) replied correctly. Other than these there were no big questions. Good luck.

thank you so much, my mother got a visa yesterday. We have not recieved the passport yet so not sure about the length etc.,
