-------- yes you can apply EAD after you get I-485 reciept, better Paper file I have seen many got mistakes with efiling and efiling does not get you EAd any faster
For proof of pending 485, Is BCIS Online status printout sufficient in lieu of 485 receipt?
------ Many time BCIS online status is not correct, better file with I-485 filing reciept copy and other support documents like Color copy OF driving licence and color copy of first page of your passport that has your name, DOB and photograph along with form I-765, USCIS fees ,2 photographs
