Proof of Continuous Residency?

My family and I were out of the United States for more than six months but less than a year. However, my parents did own a house and did file taxes for that year.

1.) Can documentation of this prove continuous residency for the 6 months we were overseas?

2.) I was a 19 years old at the time and a dependent of my parents. Can I use such documents as proof of my continuous residency?
