Project Kashmir #2 : WAC I485 Case Status

I believe the participants of Project Ocean can understand the current of our terrible situation.

The weekly report of Project Kashmir had been misleading people here in this forum.
We had been seeing 60-80 approvals every week in average.
Many people seem only to try seeing that the CSC is approving some cases, but not to understand that such a number, which is almost ZERO as compared to the huge backlog, does not mean anything.

WAC-02 series have been scanned regularly.
Due to a couple of reasons, I stopped just posting the result of scan.

> Due to a couple of reasons, I stopped just posting the result of scan.

One of reasons is:
the weekly report of Project Kashmir had been misleading people here in this forum.
We had been seeing 60-80 approvals every week in average.
Many people seem only to try seeing that the CSC is approving some cases, but not to understand that such a number, which is almost ZERO as compared to the huge backlog, does not mean anything.
Another reason is to support Project Anaconda.
Honestly speaking, I am really disappointed in the support of this forum.
It is very difficult to start up this kind of project, however, most of you cannot understand its difficulty unless you actually try scanning even one series.

So, I will give you a chance to participate in the project.
If you send me the complete list of I485 cases of one WAC-03 series that Project Kashmir has not reported, I will send you one latest Project Kashmir weekly report even unless you participate in Project Ocean activities.

If you complain against Project Kashmir or Project Anaconda, or personally to me,
you should try the above at first.
It doesn't matter whether your are an engineer or not.

Writing Project Anaconda for a month has been an eye opening
experience. It is a complex task to document all 485 cases. And
having understood the whole process I can clearly see how much
efforts Kashmir put in Project Kashmir. Anaconda cannot have
been a reality without Project Kashmir. We do not claim that
our reports are most accurate. The difference in two reports
merely tells us what is going on.

Project Anaconda is scheduled to run monthly because frankly
there is nothing much happening at the moment in CSC. Last
Report was run on 19th October and the next one is scheduled
for this weekend.

Kashmir has done a great job and service to this forum. We must
all support him.

WAC01&02 I485 - number of approvals

Code:
[B]WAC01&02 I485 - number of approvals per month[/B]
 47 ... November 2003 as of 11/09/2003
323 ... October 2003
442 ... September 2003
252 ... August 2003
263 ... July 2003
395 ... June 2003
359 ... May 2003
397 ... April 2003

51,551 ... The total number of I485 cases filed between August 2001 and September 2002
33,655 ... The number of pending cases among the above

33655 / 350 = [B]96 months[/B] = [B]8 years[/B] (with average pace of April thru October)
33655 / 200 = [B]168 months[/B] = [B]14 years[/B] (with pace of November)
Those who had received the Project Kashmir weekly report as of 11/9/2003 can confirm the above.

USCIS Service Center Processing Dates URL

You can bookmark it !!

By the way, there are two bugs right now.

1) URL
egov.immigration.gov/graphics/cris/jsps/Processtimes.jsp?SeviceCenter=California
It should be "ServiceCenter=California".
The above URLs may be changed in future.

2) CSC data
Now, it trys showing the Processing Dates as of 11/6/2003,
but the CSC has not posted the data yet.
Processtimes.jsp seems to be unable to handle such a case.
I wonder how test coverage was before the release.

It looks like an amateur project.

Kashmir,

Could you also post the count of number of RFE's and Transfers along with the number of Approvals.

Thanks,

This weekend scan was completed but the report will not be posted until Project Anaconda will release its report.

Here are some data at CSC forum as of 1pm, 11/16/2003.
Code:
(A) Project Kashmir #2 : WAC I485 Case Status - 133 Replies - 18,940 Views
(B) Project "Ocean" : Become a U.S. Citizen by 2008 Election !! - 239 Replies - 13,523 Views

(C) New Jit report on the BCIS online status - 7 Replies - 1,187 Views
(D) FAX petition to House Policy Committee & House Immigration Sub-committee - 17 Replies - 598 Views
How do you think about the number of views ?
(A) vs (B)
(C) vs (D)

The report of this weekend scan has been distributed to those who had received both reports of 11/2/2003 and 11/9/2003.
I still encourage to continue participating in Project Ocean related activities.

Thanks,
HI, c610,
Thanks for your suggestion.
As you have already registered Project Symphony, you can get three reports (11/2, 11/9, 11/16) by participating in two activities of Project Ocean as I had posted last weekend.

(A) vs (B)
As of 9pm, the number of views are (A) 19,142 and (B) 13,644.
For 8 hours, the number of views are (A) 202 and (B) 121
In order to promote Project Ocean rather than Project Kashmir,
one of my challenges is to reverse these numbers.

I put the Project Kashmir weekly report of 11/2/2003 somewhere at Project Ocean thread.
