Project Kashmir is just summarizing every one's efforts.Originally posted by zipzap
I was looking through the scan data and was just wondering why there was none for wac-03-019-xxxxx cases........... is it because they were never scanned?
I'm guessing the scanning is quite a task just briefly reading through the archives.
Would it be too much to ask for to request for wac-03-019 data ?
Thanks
WAC-02 series have been scanned regularly.Originally posted by vg0405
Did u notice ever since you stopped (or rather slowed down)posting the reports, the traffic to this forum has really wound down....
Hi Kashmir:
I noticed that you have not been scanning WAC02 series. They are a lot of us who belong to 02 series are a lot more anxious to know the processing status. Would it be possible for you to scan that as well?

> Due to a couple of reasons, I stopped just posting the result of scan.
One of reasons is:
the weekly report of Project Kashmir had been misleading people here in this forum.
We had been seeing 60-80 approvals every week in average.
Many people seem only to try seeing that the CSC is approving some cases, but not to understand that such a number, which is almost ZERO as compared to the huge backlog, does not mean anything.
As a matter of fact, participants of Project Ocean and its campaigns are very few.
We should see (at least) 50 activities every week.
Thanks for your advice, however, I came to know that it does not work at all.Originally posted by vg0405
Hi Kashmir:
I totally agree with you. The current pace of processing is not gonna cut it. What you could do is add a note at the end of your report saying "This reports clearly begs the need of some action on our part".
Also, posting the report is going to bring more traffic to the forum which will help drive Project Ocean and others..
just my 2 cents
I know everything and I never forget your cooperation.Originally posted by vg0405
Hey
I am one of those who took action and participated in project ocean. I travel a lot so its difficult me to accompany you guys on the meetings but I faxed the petitions to all three and my intention is to help the project.

The CSC seems to have started processing I-485 on 10/7/2003.
You can see some cases approved or touched recently,
however, the number is still very small and far from satisfactory level.
Don't forget that it would take 4-5 years to clear only WAC-02 cases if this slow pace would continue.
If such a result of the Project Kashmir would satisfy many people and if the Project Ocean "Send the Petition" Campaign would go slow down,
this project might be cancelled any time.

Hi Everyone:
Though there has been a little pickup in speed in 485 processing, it is far from what is required. As Kashmir said, we should not loose momemtum on the Project Ocean for several reasons.
- Immigrants are never cared for by the politicians.
- The 485 processing is still too slow to clean up the backlogs.
- 485 processing can be stopped again since it is never a higher priority, so dont count on it.
- even with485 approved, you are still not a citizen, so its important that we make sure that we are counted too by these power hungry politicians.
Sorry but I have decided to stop spending a couple of hours every weekend just for anxiety of people visiting this forum.Originally posted by PrasadS

Hey Kashmir:
I think you are getting a little emotional about the whole issue.
Whether you post the reports or not, its your choice. It was a nice gesture on your part to do that. What I said was just an opinion and a humble request.
I think its important for you to understand that not everybody is as politically savvy as you are. Its not as easy to mobilize so many people as you think. What you have started is a good leadership but it will take time for it to gain momentum. Its been little over a month you started the campaign and you expect all the people to make the efforts like you are some other guys.
That is a little too optimistic. If I were you I would not get so touchy about this.
Saying that only people who fax petitions are going to see the report is not a good way to lead people.
