Hi, Golumolu,
Of course, it is possible.
If you or somebody scan WAC-03-092 series and send the list of I-485 case numbers to kashmir@covad.net ,
it would be on the report.

I would like to scan wac-03-057 series but i just dont know how to. Kashmir, can you give me a link to the code that i can use to scan this series.

Thanks

Hi, ganesanc,

Please read the first page of Project Kashmir first thread.
If you're not familier with Java, you may want to use Excel script originallly written by off-patience.

Kashmir,

what is your motivation to not publish the scan reports, like you did in the past?

What are you acheiving by making us type in our password to get that scanned report? we dont remember our passwords since the cookie takes care of that for us ..

By any chance does your program send all our passwords to you ??? :D

About 150 cases approved in the last week. Is that what
we call progress? Maybe. If thats the number of cases
being approved every week then we have roughly about
600 cases in January. This could mean the approval rate
has doubled. See my attached spreadsheet.

Kashmir,
I assume your motivation behind this whole thing is allow users
to download multiple files of the report in one shot. Right?

The problem with that some people may have a little
difficulty with following instructions. Just want to let you
know that its not exactly a easy process. Especially if you
consider that certain users of this forum might be of the dumb
kind. Your assumption that there are all smart people here might
not be entirely true. Take for instance this shantanu guy.
:D Think of most users as real useless duffers and then
write your program. It helps a lot when you can accurately
characterize your users. :D

Man. Am I bad or what?

Hi, 1amShantanuA,
Thanks for your inquiries.

> what is your motivation to not publish the scan reports, like you did in the past?
As I posted before, it is an experimental phase of distributed scans.
At least, participants have to install J2RE to their machines, so it is preparation for participants, too.

> What are you acheiving by making us type in our password to get that scanned report?
Only participants of distributed scans will be able to get reports for their contributions.
Otherwise, no motivation to participate in distributed scans.

> we dont remember our passwords since the cookie takes care of that for us ..
I don't care.

> By any chance does your program send all our passwords to you ???
I opened its source code to prove that password would be deleted immediately after the first access, so no chance.
If you can't believe me, you should not believe the reports of Project Kashmir, too.

Anyway, I found some fundamental issue of the current architecture, I will change the architecure very soon.

Hi, desi-bartender,
> I assume your motivation behind this whole thing is allow users to download multiple files of the report in one shot. Right?
As I posted above, your assumption is totally different from my intention.

> The problem with that some people may have a little difficulty with following instructions.

I have neither assumption nor expectation for technical skill in the forum.
I just see how many people downloads.
As I posted before, this is an experimental phase of next version of Project Kashmir.
If distributed scans architecture really doesn't work, Project Kashmir will end. That's it.

> Think of most users as real useless duffers and then write your program.

Project Kashmir is not a service to the forum.
I have no obligation at all.

Project Kashmir might end soon,
but it is a good chance for Project Anaconda, isn't it ?

Anyawy, a scan project itself doesn't change anything.
However, we definitely have to make something change.

Kashmir,
As I understand. Your wac number is Wac 02 124. Right?
This means you have max 6 months to get approved. I
wish you can get approved tomorrow but lets be reasonable.
:D

I guess we all could use your help till then. We all perfectly
know that you have no obligation to the forum. It was a
mere suggestion from me.

My wac happens to be wac02 162 and I will be around after
you have gone for another 6 months depending on how
this works. Maybe longer.

You have done a great job of getting weekly reports.
I will continue to do monthly Project Anaconda reports
and keep the people here informed not weekly but surely
monthly.

But I guess you have a few months to perfect the distributed
scans. I will organize the necessary support to make it work.

If you can't make it in time I will take up that task. Once again
I am glad we all have you here.

I added a few useful columns to Kashmir's spread sheet

4 new columns

1. Number of Cases done or completed
2. Number of Cases not done or pending
3. Number of Cases pending before your case
4. Number of months INS will take to get to your
cases assuming 600 approvals per month. Very depressing.

...
Yes, my number is WAC-02-124,
but even after my getting approved hopefully within 6 months, I will continue this project for a couple of reasons.
This project is not only for myself but also for the community.
If it were just for myself, I would have not posted the reports almost every week.
However, the project itself must progress.

WAC 02 124 also!

Thanks for the updated information.

I'm the same receipt day as Kashmir. I'm glad that someone thinks I've got as short as six months left, I was thinking that it would be next millenium :)

Sorry needed to laugh,

becky

Now we have just around 100 approvals per month :(
