TRUMP ADMINSTRATION JUST PUT A PAUSE ON ALL GREEN CARD CASES THROUGH APPROVED ASYLUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is no where in the news that’s say ALL, read it again , we don’t know details , it’s may have to do with their COP or other considerations, until then this is just unnecessary fear mongering with exclamation marks .

are you joking me? it's all over the news and yeah asylum based green cards are paused even many attorneys said the same

CBS News reported Tuesday that USCIS has directed its staff to conduct the additional vetting of refugees or people who were granted asylum and have applied for legal permanent residency, or green cards.

The agency said in a statement attributed to a DHS spokesperson that it is "placing a temporary pause on finalizing certain adjustment of status applications pending the completion of additional screening and vetting."

But it does says certain applications that means not all of them

which means asylum and refugee cases not any other category of green cards applications! that's what it means by certain application not certain people
It says certain asylum or refugees applications which means not all of them but some of them
It’s not talking about other categories we all know by now that it’s only for refugees and asylees
They are only going after paroled cbp1 asylees or refugees afghans and baned countries

do you know that you are taking with AI ?not real person?

CHNV was created 2 years ago, and the average asylum case take 3-5 years and for many it even take much longer so no way CHNV APPLICANTS WERE granted asylum in big numbers! we shall see what tomorrow brings but you are analyzing the case on unrealistic things just to make yourself feel better, but nothing else.

I love that you value your own opinion but that is all it is your opinion , we all have lawyers too and have communicated with them so believe whatever you may but don’t ever try to mix facts with opinion.

The part that made laugh was saying you communicating with AI , like AI made up the answer , and even if we all believe ai is smart shouldn’t we trust the answers ???

And for everyone here keep your head up and hope alive , particularly for those of us who waited 6.7.8 years before interviews , this cannot demoralize us , we have been through the worst , even today I have seen people get approval so nothing is final , worse case scenario another year or two , we will be okay !

Sir, have you seen the bunch of people whose interviews have been scheduled within a few months of filing? Not everyone waits years for their asylum interviews in addition to the fact that there are tons of others whom are granted asylum by immigration judges only 1-2 years after their arrival through the border, so it is a possibility what our fellow asylee is stating above.

Thank you, we will all pull through, personally this is a long journey and I refused to let negative news rule my life. I wish everyone all the best.

No the article said some cases of refugees and asylum are been vetted again. So we really don’t know what cases. The official USCIS site has not added anything ( they usually do like for parolees, TPS etc). We have no clarity yet so instead of sharing fear and acting like you know everything; all we can do is speculate and wait for further guidance. As of now USCIS is still taking applications for green card. It’s like the travel ban that was leaked. It was rumours. I know someone from the yellow list country that came back last week as an asylee and had no issues. So no clarity on anything yet. Let’s not fall for fear and negativity. We are resilient and warriors.

Yeah I noticed that too. Much more cases are been called lately even those who applied ages ago are now been called. I feel like closing the cbp and borders has switched officers focused back to the cases inside the US. I mean I don’t know just speculation

Hello friends! I recently applied for my adjustment of status and this news has caused me anxiety and insomnia. I called USCIS and I spoke to an agent. I also chatted with two other agents through Emma. They all gave me the same answer. They do not have information about any new pause and there’s a pause on CHNV Humanitarian parole cases only while they do more investigation. I want to stay positive.IMG_4463.png

I think AI has not updated information on the new pause yet, but is more referring to this older one (from a month ago) - https://www.bushcenter.org/publicat...ations-for-certain-migrants-what-does-it-mean

I don't think AI has any info on the new pause, which may (or maybe not) impact (or affect) our cases. Nobody knows yet what to expect, but let's hope for better anyway and stay positive.

It's just an internal memo, not a law or something for AI to be aware of. Yet, some folks prefer to dodge the truth and create their own versions of reality to feel better.

You are entitled to your own opinion and it’s just 1 , you are however are not entitled to an alternative set of facts , Lawyers and even the strongest immigration advocates are asking people to take a chill pill and wait , by the way people got approved this week !

I believe the government has chosen not to release any official memos or policy updates regarding green card processing for asylum seekers, likely because previous attempts like travel bans and other restrictions
were often challenged in court. It’s possible they’re taking a more cautious, behind-the-scenes approach this time. We’ll need to wait and see if any changes emerge in the coming months. Overall, it appears the new administration may be quietly shifting its policies without formal announcements.

Not this government, it will make pronouncements and not care about public opinion, either way people will file mandamus if their app gets delayed and Uscis needs to avoid that, people seem to forget this agency is run with fees and not government funded per se .
