I have applied for Canadian PR and got it. My PR card is valid upto September 2009. I was always in USA on H1 and I never reside in Canada except visted friends and pleasure trips to Mnotreal and Quebeck. Due to parents health problems I came back to India in November 2006 from USA. Is there any possibility to get back into Canada to stay there for three years and to apply for Canadian citizenship. I always entered and came out Canada thru my car. Does Port of entry officails always maintain records about my entry and exit from Canada ?. I need to have any other country Citizenship to get Duel-Citizenship for my daughters.

Any suggestions from experts to handle this kind of situation in a legally valid way.

So between Sep 3 2004 and Sep 3 2007, how many days did you spend physically in Canada. Is your spouse a Canadian citizen?

Just around 10 days between 03-Sep-2004 to 03-Sep-2007. My spouse also is an Indian citizen.

Hi Triple CItizen,

Would they allow me to enter into canada upto 03-Sep-2009 or at the airport itself they tell me that my PR is invalid and sent me back to India.

I am in no position to make that determination. You know you haven't maintained your PR status, so why do you want to enter Canada as a PR?

Would they allow me to enter into canada upto 03-Sep-2009 or at the airport itself they tell me that my PR is invalid and sent me back to India.

You can enter Canada with valid PR card. If you enter Canada by Air then you will face Canada customs and he/she will ask how many days you were out of Canada. If the officer feels that you don’t satisfy Residency then you will be sent to Immigration officer and he will ask the same question. If the immigration officer thinks that you are no more in PR status he will make a note and they will send the letter to you in 15-20 days on Canada address to appear before Immigration judge and explain. You will be admitted to Canada and will not be stopped from entering Canada.
If you go by car from US to Canada they don’t ask much. FYI Canada does not have exit records
Many worked in US on H1 and still got Canada citizenship. How? I am 100% sure they Lied when entered Canada and I know 3-4 persons who got Canada citizenship
FYI the PR status of Canada does not automatically gets abandoned
