Possible February Mumbai Interview Thread /Tracker !!!!!

P3 sent to Mumbai on Dec 18th

It reached there at consulate on 21st Dec. Is it true that 20th is the cut off date ? Is March a possibility or should i think more in terms of April ?
 
Recd date: 27 Feb!

Got an email from consulate, they sent me the date and time of the scheduled interview (2/27/02, 1030 am).
I would recommend emailing the consulate instead of those crazy middle of the night calls!!

Also, please keep all Feb/Bombay discussions restricted to this list, so that there are no multiple forums for the same topic!!!

I got the email as well. Feb 1
But if i did not call , i would have known only today thru e mail.
I needed the weekend .. have to plan my hindu wedding in india as well. ( I had a civil wedding in NJ )

Did you get your case no.yet.I believe your papers reached the consulate on 3rd Dec. Mine too reached on the same day and no case no. yet.I called the consulate on Monday. A few questions, is your I824 approved?, has Nvc created case for you? Just trying to find some common factors.

Mine is AC-I140
EB3
140 AD:SEP/00 ( Approved for CP but case did not transfer to NVC)
824 AD:SEP/01 ( Still case is not transfered to NVC !!!)

 I am from Mumbai and new to the CP Forum.. I have 2 questions
1. Can you apply for EAD for spouse when you have opted for CP?
2. What is the process after 140 approval for the CP route?

You will find all deatil there. You can not apply for EAD for Spouse.
 
Question on timing of medicals...

Is planning for medical at Breach Candy 2 days before the interview okay ? Can you guys think of any reason that I should leave more time in between. I am trying to take as little time off as possible...
 
PCC and 824 approval

My packet-3 for AC-140 to Bombay is being sent by
  DHL courier service today or tomorrow. I also have
  824 approved from TSC. Do you think it\'s a good
  idea to send 824 approval also along with 824 receipt?
  Becasue this may lead to consulate saying that
  we\'ll need NVC to notify them instead as 824 is
  already approved.

  How\'re you getting your PCC made? I\'m applying at
  Indian consulate in Houston as well as get my family
  in Bombay to get it made locally.

  Which service center are you at? I am at NSC and my I-140 approved on 8/16/2001. My attorney filed I-824 on 8/24/01. We got the receipt one week later. My AC140 reached Consular several months ago, but I still have not got my case number yet. If you are at NSC, please tell me how long does it take to get the I824 approval?

my case is at VSC. It took about 2 months for approval.
but what is the use if they did not transfer it to NVC.
 
Mumbai consulate lost applications

Mumbai consulate says they never received my AC - 140 application even though they received it on December 3 as per tracking No. I might have to apply again or wait for NVC to send packet 3. I am wondering if anyone has applied for AC-140 using copies of I824 receipt and I 140 approval instead of originals.
Any advice welcome
