one of my friend got h1b visa first time , his company based in new jersy .
Would it be a problem if he enters into USA through Los Angeles port Or he has to enter new jersy .

Not a problem. Let him have the onward/connecting Flt ticket to NJ.
Prefer to land LAX on Friday late night, Saturday or Sunday.

Hey, unless its absolutely necessary, its advisable that your friend lands in NJ to avoid being questioned by the POE officer. Having a connecting ticket to NJ from LA is a good idea but avoid this route if possible, is what I would say.
