Hello everybody, I'm a DV-2006 Winner, I'm Italian and I'm currently living in Colombia, South America.
Since I lived more than 1 year in Italy and I've been living more than 1 year in Colombia I have to present police certificates from both countries.
No big deal.
But the problem could arise when the immigration is gonna see that I lived in the US for 15 months as a turist (yes, I had money) with a B1-B2 VISA during 1998-1999.
Yes, I lived in the US for more than a year and my guess is: Could it entitle me to be eligible for a police certificate ? It is possible to obtain it ? Do I have to take it with me ? Will they consider it as a missing document during my DV interview ?
I've never been a US citizen nor a legal US resident so I guess it's impossible to get a US police certificate since Department of Justice doesn't even know who I am.
Does anyone has an idea or opinion about what could happen ?
Any suggestion about what to do is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Giorgio
