POE and TN

Hello,

I'm currently working as a CSA for a small consulting firm and the company has decided to use a POE for their payroll and benifits.

The issue is that by going to this service, my paycheck and W2 will no longer be issued by my consulting firm.

I'm not totally clear on the mechanics, but to tap into the larger benifit pool, we effectively become employees of the POE.

So my question is, should I get a TN from the POE? Do I need a new TN?

Thanks

IF Pirsuit of excellence is becoming your employer, what role does your current employer take? Client?

From an operation standpoint, management, sales and client base, the organization remains the same. My understanding is that the POE processes payroll and manages benefits and take a small fee. I guess that makes our consulting firm their client.

I do know that the Tax ID of the POE will be on my W2, so from the IRS's perspective, I work for the POE.

I hope this helps... cuz it's got me puzzled.

CBP usually accepts TN petitions from either the client or the employer, so until the expiry of your current TN, you are fine.
Besides your old firm is continuing as an entity.
