Plz help-TN grace period

I am on TN now with one employer. A week ago I had resigned to my job as a pharmacist on personal reasons. Now trying find new job. My I-94 is expiring Aug28/2007. Can I stay here until I get a new job? Do I required to leave the US rightaway and come back for job search? Do I have any grace period until I get another job because my I-94 still valid.

please suggest.

Technically your TN is not valid as soon as your job is finished, regardless what the expiry date says, you need to immediately change your status to B2.

Canadians are allowed to change status from TN status to B2 visitor status while in the United States.

Mail-in B2 is available to anyone who is in status when they request it.

You were supposed to mail-in your B2 request the day you resigned.
 
someone may want to correct me but my understanding is that if you go through a recruiter and you are 'on bench' (meaning, you are not getting paid, the recrutier still keeps you) you can stay legally in US.
