Recently, I heard of several cases where ICE officers visited married couple in their residence at early morning hours after filing for AOS based on marriage. If you had that experience, can you pls share with us on what they looked for and what questions they asked? What was it that u think that made them suspicious of your marriage?

Thanks!

if you know of those cases why don't you search the forum? All I know is that in one case the alien was an F-1 overstay. If you do not overstay, there is no reason to fear ICE.

Only one case that I heard in this board.

Another one I heard from a friend of mine that ICE visited a house around 5am in the morning for person at his work .. I guess they came in and went straight to the bedroom to check whether they were sleeping together. They checked and left (no problem).

Well there is only one way to find out. If they (ICE) come for you, you will know. If your marriage in genuine and you have no "security" skeletons in the closet, you have nothing to fear.

That sounds like a concocted story. ICE doesn't break into people's houses. Ridiculous. I am not saying you didn't hear this, but it sounds like a made-up story to me.

Actually, they do break into houses (or maybe they just knock hard and say they will break in if you don't open up).

There is no word as to the nature of the investigation; however, officers were spotted taking people from homes near Northwest 10th Street and Portland Avenue on Sunday.

The woman said she does not know why ICE agents raided her home, but she acknowledged that they were looking for somebody specific. She told Eyewitness News 5's Mark Opgrande that agents wouldn't tell her much.

She said they asked her questions about who lives there. The woman said she has a son in Chicago but said that he told her he hadn't broken the law.

Immigration agents detained one man from her house.

ICE came to my house at 6am looking for my brother. Me and my brothers all overstayed our F-1 visa. ICE got the information from the college and they took us in and took all our information and let us go after 6 hours.

I guess i know a couple whose house was raided by ICE. Married couple not living together. Was taken away by ICE and later decided in the court.
