called today and a nice lady answered. i gave her the wac#s of 485 and 140 and she said they're waiting for FBI's name check...

what is the right way to do an enquiry on ur case .. do we need to call 800-375-5283 to do it

I have just enquired about my I-485 on emergency no. and after that my case status has got updated as follows :

"On March 18, 2005, we responded to your request for more information
concerning your case. "

Does this means I am going to get more details about the case like 'Name check pending' .

Can anyone has an idea about this kind of message...

hehehe a bunch of ppl have that status message...it means "we told u about ur case status now stop bugging us".

It also means u *may* get a letter in the postal mail , saying exactly what the lady at the other end told u.
