Question on Process ?

Hi,

Does anybody know on what basis they are processing aprovals ? Is it on PD or RD ?

I am also in EB3 category and with PD 08/01/2002.

1. Can you please tell me whether your LUD got changed when a FP notice was sent to you ?

I am finding it hard to find out how soon i should expect my FP notice.
IF the LUD (last updated date) will change for my i-485 case when they send a FP notice then it is easy for me to track from the USCIS site.

I am little worried because in the past some of my letters were dropped in the wrong mail box in my apartment.

Please let me know. Gurus, please feel free to reply also.

Its my personal belief that everyone who is not affected by the PD retrogression and who have been finger printed recently are on their way to approval. USCIS has probably identified all the easy cases. They may be using the law of averages to meet their goal, instead of a linear pattern.

The way my I-140 got approved, it seemed like they had the intent to approve my 485 but realized that my 140 had not been approved yet and then approved it in a hurry (judging from the LUD changes).

i am speculating here so take what i say with a grain of salt. ;)

the approval so early has put me in a spot since i was contemplating a visit to my home country at the end of this month with possible marriage in mind. so the approval is bittersweet for me.

this forum has been helpful. there are some people on this forum who have acquired so much legal knowledge, that they should consider pursuing a legal career after they get approved. :). and then there are the oddballs who bring merriment to the forum.

P.S. To those who are superstitious, everytime i stopped checking my online status or stopped visiting this forum, that USCIS would do something on my application. ;)
 
Is my case being delayed or am I on the right track?

I got my I140 approved in Aug 2000. Waied to get married and filed for 485 (for me and my wife) on Aug 12 2003 (RD). The LUD for both of us is 11/15. FP was on 10/12. Any idea when we might get our 485 approved?

FP1 : Nov, 2004 (Only for self, since spouse in India)
I485 AD: Dec, 2004 (Only for self)


The PP stamping was very smooth, I was out of the ASC in 30 Min. The staff were very courteous.

I have been silently following this thread for the past few days.
With all the priority date regression and mine being sub labor with a current priority date,i was kind of skeptical about my case getting INS's eye anytime soon.But some of the approvals(with sub labor) posted here gave me a ray of hope and got me going again.So,on friday i just log on to the ins case status website hoping to see a fingerprint recd message (as i did my fingerprinting just a week earlier),but what do i see ?? MY FRIGGIN CASE HAS BEEN APPROVED!!.It is unbelievable!!.

Wait seems to be over for me but still going on for the spouse. Both filed on the same date and used to get everything together until this approval.

But atleast something good. Had gone on vacation and did not bother to check status. Came back to a pleasant surprise.

LUD - does it mean anything

Hi tigris,
I saw your post asking Gurus whether LUD change means anything.
Even I am in the same boat. My priority date is Sep 2002 and LUD for 485 shows jan 13 2005.
I am worried if I did not receive my FP notice as I recewntly bought a home and moved.
But we did give change of address as required by INS.
Please let me know if LUD change means anything.
Also Gurus, please shed some light my question.
