I filed my I-485 a week ago. I received a letter saying that i need to proof my earning was lawful. I worked at school on my F-1 visa according to my school DSO, i can work on campus for 20 hours. They gave me a new I- 20 showing the place i will work on campus. This was the whole process i went through in order to work is this lawful. I only worked for 2 months, and filed taxes with my wife. What proof do i give them besides my I-20 and F-1 Visa.
Will this affect my case in anyway?

that should be enough. You can also ask for an additional affidavit from your international student center that you were authorized to work on campus during your studies.

probably because USCIS asks about your employment in some forms, and it's best to disclose both legal and illegal employment than be accused of hiding info or providing false info.
Perhaps, he is trying to cosponsor himself and in that case they also need to make sure the employment is legal.

I was thinking of that, but that is a misguided reason to list it, because a short-term on-campus job doesn't meet the requirement of reasonably continuing to exist after green card approval.

But then I realized the G-325A asks for employment, so that would explain why it was listed.
