I am planing to visit my fiance and apply for her k1 visa, she lives in egypt. I planing to stay with her until she gets her visa so we can come together to the us. my question is do i apply for her k1 visa from the united states or i can apply for her in the unites state embassy in egypt. my other problem we did not meet each other for more than 2 years.

If you live in the United States or abroad and are filing Form I-129F, then file your petition at:

Note:

U.S. Citizens petitioning for K-3 visas for their alien spouses must include a copy of the Form I-797C, Notice of Action, showing they have filed Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, on behalf of their spouse listed on the form.

In addition, they must provide a marriage certificate, evidencing the legal marriage between the citizen and the alien.

thank for ur reply but we did not get married yet, the problem is we did not c each other for more than 2 years and its required that we met each other, in person, at least once within 2 years of filing the petition. so instead of me coming back to us to file for her k1 visa can i file it from egypt? do you think it will save some time by filing directly to the us embassy ?

It's the same form either way. Didn't you even look at the USCIS website and forms? There is a ton of info on the government wesites.

If you had physically met one another within the past 2 years then you could have applied for the K1 petition now while in the States before you go over to stay with her. However, as you have stated this is not the case, then you will have to wait until you have both met up with one another again (and have proof that you have) before you can file- though as you probably won't have met the residency requirements in Egypt to be eligible to directly file through the consulate in this country, then you will still need to send off the petition (I-129F, G325A etc) to the US office as stated in the I-129F instructions.

Whether a USC is in the U.S. or abroad, the I-129F is filed atr the same address. An I-129F may not be filed at an Embassy or Consulate. An I-130 may, if you live in the consular jurisdiction.
