Just got my GC through my USC wife. Marriage was little over 2 years so I got the permanent one. My wife is now threatening me to report to INS that our marriage was fraud and all if I dont obey her !...She threatens me that by doing that she can take away my green card..Can someone do that?
We dont have any kids yet.
Please help me ..One my friend gave me the reference of this website...
 
Why don't you tell her that she will be in more trouble than you. She was the one that pettitioned for you so she would have commited fraud. In that case she faces up to 5 years in prison and up to 250000.00 in fines.
I'm not sure if she can take away your green card now that you have a permanent one.
Why are you still married to her anyways?

I cant divorce her cause I dont want to deal with INS if she tell INS that our marriage was fraud after spending 2 years with me. That was the reason I posted here to get some help.

Unless she can prove that the marriage was a fraud, she is just "blowing smoke" or "peeing into the wind" :p

If the marriage was fake, then you BOTH are in trouble and she would be guitly of fraud and face prision/fines.

But the marriage was already proved as bona fide "in good faith" after your interview and you receiving the GC. So you should not worry.

You are the man right?! so wear the pants! :p tell her she can do whatever she wants and get yourself a good divorce lawyer! :p :mad:
 
two years is a long time and in itself proof that the marriage was bona fide. She would really have to provide proof that the marriage was a sham and definitely risks being accused of fraud as a petitioner. She needs to think twice before she makes a mistake like that.

Out of interest, what is it that she wants you to do?
