Hello everyone,

We're having our second interview in a week and we just received the letter. This is kind of soon, since we just had our first interview about two weeks ago. My husband and I have been married for almost four years and together for six. When we first got together I didn't know of his immigration status, we met when we were 19 and started our relation when we were 23 and married at 24.

For our first interview I didn't think we would have a problem since we've being married for so long but it turns out that that was what hurts us according to the IO. He was pretty rude and did the interview in Spanish although we told him we prefer to speak in English. So while he was asking the questions in Spanish we were answering in English. He barely asked any question about our marriage just said that because we have been married for so long and didn't have a kid, life insurance, a car or health insurance he wasn't satisfied our marriage was legit.

This is all so confusing. I love my husband and I'd do anything to help him out but this is bs. We been in this country since we were both 8 and just thinking we could be separated brakes my heart.

I don't know what to do, we are not a conventional couple. We got married without telling anybody we didn't have a ceremony and we don't have many documents together. Also the apartment were we lived in under my mom's name and I just feel we're screwed. We may not be financially stable but I know that man more than myself, he's my best friend. We live in NYC.

I'm going crazy just don't know what to do, I don't want him to get deported. Any advise would be gladly appreciated.

You have been married for 4 years and do not have many documents showing conjugal cohabitation? If that is the case, do you blame the adjudicating officer for doubting the validity of the marriage? What all documents do you have showing conjugal cohabitation?
