Please Help-N 14 Selective Services

Any help would be appreciated!

I didn't register with the selective services when I cam here (I was 20 at the time). I didn't know I was supposed to (There were no information regarding requiring to register back then). I went to give the citizen exam this morning...and they need a proof why I didn't...


What should I do now....Please help!

What was your status in the US between age of 20 (when you arrived) until your 26 birthday?
How old are you now?
You are a male,correct?
 
First of all, you need to get a "Status Information Letter" from the Selective Services Agency.

Whether or not your N-400 case will be approved or not, really depends on your current age. If you are over 31, you should be ok since the failure to register would have occurred outside the 5yr good moral behavior window. If you are aged between 26-31, you will need proof that your failure to register was not knowing and willful. If you are under 26, you simply need to register asap.
