Please Help! H1 transfer while Old H1 -> F1 pending

I lost my job at the end of sep. I submitted I-539 to request to change from H1 to F1 using the I20 i already had for spring semester within 10 days. I haven't got the receipt from INS yet. THis week i got an offer from a company and they are willing to transfer the H1. What should i do in this situation ? anyone had this experience before ? experts please advise me.

Questions i have now:
1. any idea when i will get the receipt for I-539 ?

2. is it possible to withdraw the I-539 ? if yes, how?

3. I will hire an attorney to do the transfer, but i really want to know in advance what should be submitted to INS for the transfer. Approximately how much does it cost (attorney fee and INS fee) ?

4. is there premium processing (paying extra $) for H1 transfer ?

5. considering my I94 will expire at the end of this year, could INS reject both applications ?

Some answers

2. Yes you can withdraw the I539 by sending a letter. You might want to send the withdrawal letter after receiving the receipts

3. INS fees - from INS web site. Call attorney office to get a quote. You can shop around

4. yes. Extra $1000. It is advisable in your case to do premium processing

5. Not likely.
