 My husband I-485 case was transferred to Boston on 08/10/04, but mine still has the same old message about clear fingerprints.
Last Friday I was sent home by my employer because my EAD was expired. Since it was more than 90 days from I-765 receipt, we went to Boston last Monday 08/16/04 to try get an interim EAD. The lady at the counter said she couldn't issue an EAD because on that same day 08/16/04 they were requesting additional evidence on both I-765. We also asked her about my I-485 that was still in Vermont since my husband's was transferred and I'm riding along in his case, and she gave us a fax number to send all documents and request to expedite our case. She also asked why we had different # for the I-485? (Like if I knew the response!!).
I still haven't received the notice from Vermont, and me and my husband are both home, I had to take my daughter out of the day care, and my vacation time is running out as well as my husband, and most of all we have bills to pay!!!!! WE ARE DESPERATE...WHAT TO DO NOW?
We were thinking to go to Vermont even if we don't receive the letter, would that help us?
Please help!!!!

-Employer is correct you need valid EAD It seems you did not sent EAD renewal 5-6 months advance

---- if USCIS sent RFE then they cant give you iEAD
We also asked her about my I-485 that was still in Vermont since my husband's was transferred and I'm riding along in his case, and she gave us a fax number to send all documents and request to expedite our case.
--do that
She also asked why we had different # for the I-485? (Like if I knew the response!!).
------ you have to have diiffent EAC# for diffrent I-485 and you need to have A# and your huband also will have A# and both will be diffrent A# is on your I-485 filing reciepts. officer was wrong if she meant that you both should have SAME EAC for I-485 or SAME A#
I still haven't received the notice from Vermont, and me and my husband are both home, I had to take my daughter out of the day care, and my vacation time is running out as well as my husband, and most of all we have bills to pay!!!!! WE ARE DESPERATE...WHAT TO DO NOW?
wait for the RFE letter and provide what they have asked, it can be new photograph, marriage certificate, color copy of driving licence ,color copy of first page of your passport , your I-485 reciept copy or primary applicant 1-140 filing reciept.
We were thinking to go to Vermont even if we don't receive the letter, would that help us?
--- it may help ,take all the documents above

*** every lawyer says that file EAD renewal 5-6 months advance becase even if they send RFE then also you be able to recieve your EAD oriEAD on time.I am sorry to say you filed late and may have missed some documents when you filed for EAD renewal. also always file AP 5-6 months advance.
Please help!!!!

We went to Vermont yesterday and they put our original notice requesting photos with the photos in an sealed envelope and on the top an approved letter requesting EXPEDITE. They said it could take 2 more weekes, but again, better than 2 months. And also they had changed our last updated on the computer saying they did receive additional evidence.
About my I-485, the lady said its gonna be transferred pretty soon, since my case was being updated on 08/17 in the right dept.
I guess it did help to go all the way there. They were very helpful and friendly.
We got there at 08:30 and nobody else was there until almost 10:00.
I'm gonna try Boston again because I cannot afford to stay home for 2 more weeks...any thoughts?

Please post...

Thanks

Thanks for update. BTW, What is the meaning that the VT center will be permanently closed after 09/01?
