Please help:applied for both AP & RTD

I hope you guys can help me on that.
I was told by the nebraska service over the the phone that i'm required to apply for both RTD and AP together, so i did apply for both of them on aug.19 and while browsing here on the forum i was reading that applying for AP can actually hurt my case.....please help what can i do? and how can i stop them from processing my AP if i don't need it???

As an asylee who has applied for adjustment of status on the basis of your asylum grant, you do NOT need advance parole to travel abroad.

I would suggest that if/when you get your advance parole document, just keep it and do not use it.
 
i agree with THANKFUL

you need only RTD to leave the country as asylee,

i got RTD 6 times for the last 6 years,

if you got AP , dont use it, just keep it
 
thanks guys for replies but would they assume that i have renewed my NP and they deny my pending application for I-485?? i know they take my money but they can also turn around and deny me in a heart beat, isn't that true?

NO USCIS will not formally assume anything before a proof. When i say this, i mean they will send you a RFE stating nicely to show your passport mister..their way of saying "buddy we have assumed that you have renewed your passport"....So if you can show the proof that you havent renewed your passport and you applied for Advance Parole because of the "advance" word in it thinking you would get it before the RTD.....:)
 
How affects my case if I used AP????, I left outside the country and returns without problems, my lawyer said to me that I needed was an AP and not RTD, and I did it like this, It was his mistake... I'm gonna be on troubles.........? :confused: ( And in this month I'm gonna apply fon my first RTD )

I am assuming that you had enough time left in your passport to travel with Advance Parole..in that case you will be ok ONLY if you didn't travel to your home country.
 
i have not and will not renew my passport and have no intention to return to my home country, so if they send me that REF asking me to show my passport and i DO NOT have one what now???? also it has been only 3 days since i sent my applications for AP and RTD they will receive them monday 22th, is there any way of contacting them and tell them to disregard that application for AP and process only my RTD??? CAN I DO THAT and save myself time and problems??? help please
