Hi friends,
My 485 info is as follows:
RD - 09/23/'02
ND - 10/03/'02
Center - VSC

I got laid off after applying for 485 and then took up another job after a few months. Recently I got an RFE for previous years income tax returns and W2 last year. My salary for 2003 is less than the previous year's salary. My current employer's lawyer sent a reply to the RFE last month and the current status says that my case has been sent to MISSOURI service center for interview and decision. I will be intimated regarding the date of interview. This is applicable to myself, my husband and my son.

We are a little bit tensed up when we came to know that there will be an interview for us. Has anyone attended an interview at this stage of GC? If so, could you please tell me about your case, what was asked in the interview and what was the result?

Thanks in advance.

Larapra.

As far as the pay is concerned for 2003 it doesnt matter if you had got less amount than the amount specified in LC.

As GC is for a future job... The LC rate should/can be paid after the approval of GC.

Dont worry be happy.

Just my 2 cents :-)

---- 5-10 % cases are sent for Interview, nothing to worru about it

Many have done this, FYI every family based case is approved only after interview( i know your case is not family based) go to I-485 Local transfer threds many I-485 are sent for interview to local USCIS office, not a problem.

If so, could you please tell me about your case, what was asked in the interview and what was the result?

------ when they send you Interview notice they will write the date of Interview and time and will attach a paper that have list of documents to bring like TAX filing for last 3 years, W-2 for last 3 years, recent employer letter, 3 recent pay stubs orignal Birth certificates, marriage certificates, I-94, EAD, ( better to get new immigration photographs for all family members and take at the time of interview) and take the copies of all the documents with you what I wrote above, becase they will see the orignal and keep the copies. and if no issue with I-485 officer will just ask the same questions as you replied on I-485 form like YES, NO, and will ask if any arrest records. It is simple. relax!!
Good Luck!!

*** they may send you new fingerprinting notice if you did your FP more than 15 months or never done. I-485 will be approved only after fingerprints clearence from FBI

Ginnu, I will take all the documents suggested by you. Fingerprints for myself and my husband were done in Nov '02. Didn't receive any notification for second fingerprinting yet.
