Please advise AP GURUS!!

My I-485 and EAD is pending. Now I want to apply for AP on my own because company lawyer charges $1k ,YUP It's INSANE.
My question are below:
1. do I have to notify company lawyer about applying for AP personally or it doesn't matter

2. Has anyone in the same boat and applied on their own and got it without any issues

3. What are the required supporting docs ? My wife is never received a I-485 receipt from INS CSC but we have the WAC#?Is that going be a problem??

4. ADIT style photo??Is that same as I-485 photos??

D o I have to file 2 AP application for me and my wife or just one??Also if 2 ap then I probably have to write to explanation right.Please let me know.

And if you have any other dependent (child..) you need another Ap.
Both applications need separate "why I need AP" letter.
