Please advice - question regarding 2 simultaneous H1B visa transfer applications!

Updated question! H1B visa transfer! Please please Help!!!!

hey guys

would really appreciate if someone could provide an answer to my question. Thanks in advance for reading...

I was on a H1B visa working in the USA in the Washington DC area

Till last week, i was working for Company A. I received a job offer from Company B last week and accepted the offer and quit company A last week. B filed my H1B visa transfer application yesterday through regular processing. (basically on the 10th day after i quit my job)

can i start working with Company B now that the h1b transfer has been filed for?

any advice/suggestions etc would be greatly appreciated. as you'll might have guessed i am really hard-pressed for time and need to make a really quick decision as soon as possible.

Didn't you apply for the transfer before you quit company A??
Only hope that company didnot inform USCIS using any expedite process available to them. If that is the case then you are out of status ever since you quit company A. Talk to competent lawyer.

Regarding multiple H1-B transfers it should not be a problem.

i thought i can quit a job and apply for the transfer within a month! doesnt it work that way???

If you do not have petition recipt (H1b applied for company B), you are working for B illegally, if you receive any pay check you will be in deep trouble.
What guarentee do you have that company B, will get your H1 approved.?

please inform soon as i am really worried right now!!!

thanks this is really useful information.

let me give you little more details. i spoke to company b today and they have sent the h1b application today (tuesday) so i guess it should reach and be filed by tomorrow)...

now my start date with company b is monday (25th oct). what do you anticipate could be the problem i could face? assuming the b files my visa application today, and the consulate receives it tomorrow morning (wed) do you think there could be some issues with my starting work with b next week...

Hi guys

can someone please answer my question:

i spoke to company B and they filed my H1B transfer papers yesterday. Am i ok now and can i start working? or is there still a probability of things going wrong. what are some of the things i can do at this stage to set things right...i cant believe i screwed up so badly and in such a silly way...

please help!!!
