status after stanping

How do you check status after stamping. I tried to get this help many times. But no one answers. I have not recieved any I181.
I will appreciate if some one helps me out.

what is I181?

is it only for guys who had interviews at local INS?:confused:

Still no plastic card

I got PP stamped in San Jose on Oct. 3rd 2002, so far haven't received the plastic card. My wife and I did the stamping on the same day and she got her card in Nov' 02 itself. I am worried now...

Is anyone in the same boat? I would appreciate your suggestions.

I am still waiting for my card to be delivered it was ordered on 02/10/03.

Gurus, Please Help

All,

I got my Passport stamped on 2/12 and applied for a replacement SS the same day.
I received my new SS yesterday but it still has the words "Valid for work only with INS authorization".
Can any of you tell me what you see on your new SS card?

I applied for a new SS card the same day I got my PP stamped.
I rcvd my SS card last week and it does not have the "Valid for work only with INS authorization" on it. You need to go back to SS office and show them your Passport with GC stamp and tell them you are updating ur SS card.

Did you apply for the card at the office on the 10th floor (next to the GC stamping room) in the INS bldg in Newark.

my husband' s case status changed from approved to card ordered yesterday(24th feb)....he got his pp stamped at boston ins on oct 22nd

Congratulations to your husband! I am in the same boat as he was; wife received the card within 40 days of stamping and I still haven't. Hopefully I get my card soon too.
