Looks like INS has fallen asleep on my case again. No update from them in the past 30 days. I was under the impression that SJC processes plastic cards inside 30 days, but I guess the sheer number of cases being approved, is putting a strain on these numbers.

Well don't care so much about this, I am just going to wait 60 days before initiating a inquiry. But come to think of it, it would be nice to just get done with this whole process. It will probably help forget that INS exists for some time. :)
 
What is Card Completed , Card Ordered dates? How do you know these? Does online status get updated for all these ?

Yes. It happend in my case after stamping. Alien Registration Card or Green Card processing completed and card ordered on 8/26 and 9/7 respectively. Hoping to see change of status for card mailed soon.

CAlled 1-800 number

I havent recieved the physical card yet after stamping on 06/25 at Newark. I called the 1-800 number and got to an courteous rep on the other end. He said that they are severly backlogged on card production and may take upto an year to get it, but that he would start an inquiry if I wanted it. I said yes. He started one for me, but needed my wife's consent to start one for her too. So I told him that I would conference her in real quick. After she was online he got her info too and started an inquiry for her. I had changed address while stamping, but he just updated it again just in case. He also said that my wife need to file AR-11 too (???).

After a week now, the message changed to "Processing complete. The card will be mailed as soon as it is ready". Hopefully it should be mailed withing this month.

My spouse is a dependent on my application, and we have identical case status for everything:

485 approved 7/14/04
--> stamped 7/27/04
--> process complete 8/26/04
--> card order 9/2/04
--> card mailed 9/9/04
--> card received 9/11/04
green card valid since 7/6/04

Approved : 07/13/2004
Stamped : 07/21/2004 at SFO
Completed : 08/27/2004
Card Ordered : 09/03/2004 (self); 09/04/2004 (spouse)
Card Mailed : 09/09/2004 (self); 09/10/2004(spouse)
Card Received : 09/13/2004.
 
I received my Plastic Card Today.
