Last Update Date has changed

Hi,
The last update for my wife and myself changed to 07/22/2004 today.
The earlier last update date was 03/16/2004. The status message is the same.

AD : 02/25/2004 at NSC
Stamped : 03/05/2004 at Cleveland, OH
Filed AR-11 and G-731 in June for address change.

Is the latest update something to do with Plastic Card or is it for the address change?

Is there any way of finding out?

Same way as you checked for 485...

You can use the LIN number that was assinged to your 485 for your card status. It should say that you card has been ordered..
 
plastic card mail forwarding - Q for hoho and others

I am waiting for plastic card and will have to move from current address.
Does the plastic card envelop says 'Return service requested' etc due to which USPS will not forward it?

Hoho - you got your plastic card recently and seems that you had moved from old address.
I will appreciate if you could shed some light on this.

It does not say return service requested. If you have provided your change of address to USPS you will get it transferred to your new address. But I suggest the following:
1. File AR11 ( this is required by Law ).
2. Call the 800 number and tell them to update the address in your pending cases.

They also asked me to file G731. You may want to file this too.

I had interview in Newark INS office.They stamped my Passport and mentioned I will be receiving permanent card within 12 months.
My PSD(passport stamp date ) 08/20/04
If any body has any idea about duration plastic card takes ,please reply me.

Plastic Card

I got my stamping done today in bloomington MN....Officer took away all of my EAD, H1B and I-94. May be I shouldn't have shown them at all. Well, I don't need them anymore anyway....

AD: 8/19/04
ND: 10/2/04

Do you know how long it is taking to ge the card approximately?
Does the online message changes after you get the stamp on passport and order card?

Question regarding GC card and Ar-11

I got my I-485 approved on 8/31/2004 and am planning to move to a new home on 9/19... I haven't even got my stamping as of now. Is it better to go for stamping after the move and AR-11 has been filed and does it have no impact?
Is AR-11 after GC stamping on passport not advisable?

Guru's ..your advice or experience please!

This would be the closure to my journey of immigration to United States. I just received my plastic card today in mail, after 11 years of living in this country!
 
Should I go for passport stamping or wait

Hi Folks,
My 485 was approved few days back. Appoint for passport stamping is tomorrow. just realized my passport is expiring in may 2005. So wondering If I should go for passport stamping or wait to renew my passport. If I get it stamped, can I get the new passport stamped later? Or I just keep the old and new passport? Anybody have any words of wisdom?

Wandergirl, Congrats. I have a question:

Did you get a welcome letter before getting the plastic card? If yes, when? Was there any other correspondence by the USCIS befor they sent you the plastic card (when and what)? Lastly which city/state did you apply from/stamp passport in? Thanks for you help.

PS: I have been here for twice as long as you and hopefully will finally get the card.

Waiting for Approval Notice, and get the passport stamped.

Plastic card ?????

I got my passport stamped on june 08 and am still waiting for my plastic card. The stamp on the passport is valid for 1year. What should i do if i do not get my plastic card within the expiry period. Any suggestions are appreciated.
